On Tuesday 02-16-2016 a BPD (Bakersfield Police Department) cruiser car was involved in a collision after running a red light in downtown Bakersfield. Both the police officer and the involved driver were seen getting out of their vehicles and only minor injuries were sustained by either party.
The car that the police officer collided with was a maroon Toyota Corolla. The police cruiser crashed into the vehicle after running a red light while the Corolla was currently passing through the intersection.
