Our plaintiff was parked on Bear Mountain Boulevard in front of a pharmacy in Arvin. As she took off her seatbelt and looked into the driver’s side mirror before getting out, her car was struck from behind by another vehicle, pushing her car 90 feet and into a business sign. Her airbag was deployed, and she struck head on the windshield. She was taken by ambulance; among her injuries were broken ribs and injuries to her knee and back.
