Our plaintiff was a passenger in a modified golf cart driving in a northwest Bakersfield neighborhood when the driver made a sudden turn, causing the plaintiff to fall off the cart, hit the pavement, and lose consciousness. He suffered severe head injuries. California Highway Patrol attributed the crash to an unsafe driving violation and cited the driver for driving without a license.
